As part of the School of Public Health's commitment to research, the school annually recognizes one early career faculty member (within 10 years of terminal degree at time of application due date) and one Associate/Full Professor in alternating (odd-numbered) years with the Dean's Research Excellence Award.

Nomination Process

Each Department is asked to identify at least one nominee for the award(s) each year. Additionally, self-nominations of faculty colleagues are welcome and encouraged.

Eligibility

  1. Nominees must be full-time tenured, tenure-track, or research track faculty members in the School of Public Health.
  2. Past winners are ineligible for nomination for 3 award cycles after their initial award. For example, if a faculty member received the award in 2021, they are eligible for nomination again in 2025.

Important Dates

  • Early May: Call for nominees
  • End of June: Applications due by 11:59 p.m. June 29
