Public health in action – through your lens!

Celebrate National Public Health Week by sharing your vision of public health through photography. Your photo could inspire others and highlight the impact of public health in everyday life.

About the Contest

National Public Health Week (NPHW) is a time to recognize the importance of public health and the people who make it happen. At the Texas A&M School of Public Health, one of the ways we mark this observance is with the National Public Health Week PHoto Contest! This schoolwide event invites you to capture what public health means to you, whether it’s healthy communities, prevention in action, or the people behind the work.

How to Participate

  1. Spot Public Health in Action
Look for moments, objects, or people that embody public health in your world. Hint: Professional equipment isn’t required - cell phone photos work great!
  2. Submit Your Photos
Upload up to 3 entries to the NPHW PHoto Contest Submission Portal. Include a brief description (no more than 150 words) of each photo and how it relates to public health.
    2026 Deadline: Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
  3. Celebrate the Winners
First, second, and third place winners in the Undergraduate, Graduate, and Faculty/Staff categories will be announced during National Public Health Week (April 6–12, 2026).
