Mission

To develop emerging- and established-leaders such that their professional actions embody Aggie Core Values, advance access to healthcare, and improve outcomes at the individual- and population-level. We achieve this through a competency-based education grounded in a commitment to service and evidence-based practice.

Our Focus

To recruit students based on merit and professional potential that represent our program's reach across Texas and the nation. The MHA Program serves students, graduates, and former students of the Texas A&M System by engaging the Aggie Network to advance the profession of healthcare leadership excellence.

Vision

To be recognized as a premier MHA program IN THE NATION, developing transformative healthcare leaders exemplifying the Aggie Core Values and drives measurable improvements in healthcare delivery, quality, access, and efficiency across diverse care settings.

Values

As a constituent of Texas A&M University, the values of the Master of Health Administration Program follow the Texas A&M University core values. The Program faculty, staff, and current and former students are expected to abide by these values as they are central to our commitment to the MHA Program’s mission and vision. These values guide our program design, evaluation of effectiveness, and strategic initiatives.

  • Respect – We reflect friendliness, caring, support, confidence, value for others, and a positive attitude.
  • Excellence – We commit to work effort and outcomes that exceed expectations wherever and whenever possible.
  • Leadership – With confidence and experience, we become leaders through learning to listen, developing and practicing leadership skills, and becoming someone others choose to follow.
  • Loyalty – We belong to something greater than ourselves through unity, compassion, and strength.
  • Integrity – The Aggie Code of Honor, “An Aggie does not lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate those who do,” is at the heart of every Aggie.
  • Selfless Service – We are servant leaders who continuously advance care for everyone, especially for underserved populations.
