About the Program

Our PhD in Health Education trains researchers to investigate the factors influencing health and wellness across social, cultural, and environmental levels. Students collaborate with faculty, contribute to scholarly publications, and develop skills aligned with Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) competencies developed by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.

Admissions Requirements

Most applicants have completed a master’s degree, but students may be admitted with a bachelor’s degree. Bachelor’s degree applicants must have an exemplary record of achievement at the undergraduate level and significant preparation in health education.

Dates and Deadlines

Stay on track with the timeline for applying, orientations, and the start of classes. The Ph.D. Health Education program admits during Fall terms only.
