Biography
Aurora Le is a health behavior scientist with a focus in occupational safety and health. Her research includes occupational health disparities, occupational justice, psychosocial factors of work, and behaviors in workplace settings. Dr. Le’s practice-based work includes worker training and education, adult curriculum development, and infectious disease mitigation and management from an industrial hygiene perspective. Since 2015 she has trained over 3,200 workers nationwide through the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Worker Training Program (WTP) on various biohazard topics; has contracted for the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) to develop training modules for their National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) teams; and previously supported the research activities of the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit (NBU) and National Emerging Special Pathogens Training & Education Center (NETEC). From 2021-2023, she also served an Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) agreement with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Construction Sector. She is also passionate about workers’ rights and mentoring the next generation of public health professionals.Education and Training
