Biography
Dr. Yiqing Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health at Texas A&M University, with expertise in stochastic process, causal mediation analysis, Bayesian inference and trial endpoint projection. Dr. Chen has led or supported more than 50 interdisciplinary projects across academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Her research focuses on developing advanced statistical models to elucidate the complex relationships among treatment, intermediate outcomes, and survival endpoints in oncology. Illustrative contributions include the development and validation of statistical and deep learning-based predictive models for early prediction of radiation-induced immunosuppression and median survival. Dr. Chen has led or supported more than 50 interdisciplinary projects across academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Her long-term goal is to build generalizable statistical tools that improve trial design and treatment decision-making in oncology studies.
